BURLINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Police in Burlington have allowed managers to return to their stores after reports of a gunman inside a mall failed to produce a suspect.

The Times-News of Burlington reports (https://bit.ly/2nBabfC) police gave the all-clear around 6:25 p.m. Friday at Holly Hill Mall after officers searched, cleared and closed all stores in the mall. No armed suspects were found inside or around the mall, and no injuries were reported.

Managers were allowed back into the mall in small groups after identifying themselves and their businesses.
