ANTIOCH, Calif. (AP) - A suspect has been hospitalized after being shot by a police officer in Antioch.

KRON-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2nA8Oh6 ) that the incident occurred after Antioch police were called Thursday night to reports of a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they attempted to stop a car and a suspect fled the scene.

After a lengthy case, the suspect rammed an Antioch police patrol car. An officer shot and injured the suspect.

The suspect is in stable condition at the hospital.

A gun was found in the suspect’s vehicle.

No officers were injured in the incident.
