EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (AP) - An early morning fire raced through an East Greenwich home, but officials say everyone got out safely.

Officials told WJAR-TV (https://bit.ly/2naBIGX ) that the blaze began shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday at a home on Forest Lane.

Fire officials say the home was destroyed and part of it collapsed. Several fire departments in other towns sent tankers to the scene to help fight the flames.
