LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a California college football player convicted of sexual assault when he was a teenager has been arrested on suspicion of raping his physical therapist.

Los Angeles sheriff’s Det. Sgt. Marvin Jaramilla says Kishawn Holmes is suspected of sexually assaulting the 19-year-old victim at a home in Norwalk.

Jaramilla says the victim is a fellow student at Cerritos College who performed physical therapy on Holmes. He says she was assaulted after a session in September.

Holmes was convicted of sexually assaulting two girls in 2013 while he in high school, where he had been one of the school’s top prospects. Prosecutors say he served a year in jail.

A college spokeswoman said the allegations were “unsettling and alarming” and it’s conducting an investigation.

Holmes’ attorney didn’t immediately respond to a comment request.
