CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) - A man will spend at least 10 years in prison after pleading guilty for his role in the stabbing death of a Nampa man.

The Idaho Press-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2lhsGb8 ) that James Mancuso was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison with 10 years fixed in connection to the death of Robert Stevens. Mancuso pleaded guilty in December.

Mancuso stabbed 30-year-old Stevens in March 2016 outside a home before fleeing. Mancuso spent three months on the run before he was arrested in June in in Spokane, Washington.



Mancuso has argued he responded to Stevens in self-defense.
