DOVER, Del. (AP) - Police say a 21-year-old man has been charged with stabbing another man in the back multiple times with a pocket knife during a fight in Dover.

Dover police say Daeshawn Shouman was arrested on second-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony charges.

Authorities say Shouman was arguing with the victim early Sunday when the fight became physical and spilled onto a sidewalk and into the roadway.

Police say Shouman used the knife to stab the victim in the back three times. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.

It’s unclear if Shouman has an attorney.
