SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a Utah mother was minimally injured after her 4-year-old daughter knocked her car into gear and ran over her.

Police in South Jordan tell the Deseret News (https://bit.ly/2moIrOg ) that the incident happened Monday when the woman was outside her running car in the family driveway while her daughter played in the passenger seat.

South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington says the passenger side door, which was left open, knocked the mother to the ground when the car began to move backward. The vehicle ended up going over the top of one of her legs.

Pennington says emergency personnel believe she may have broken a collarbone from the fall, but her leg was uninjured. She was transported to a local hospital.
