HILO, Hawaii (AP) - Three men have been charged in connection with the theft of seven goats on the Big Island.

Hawaii News Now reported (https://bit.ly/2nF0wrv) Monday that the suspects, ages 29, 37 and 47, face both theft and drug charges.

A man had reported the theft in Hilo on Friday and said he had spotted a suspicious truck in the area. He says he noticed the truck again later in the day with goats in the bed of the vehicle.

The man confronted the driver and two passengers and recognized several distinguishing marks on the animals.

Police arrested the three suspects at the scene.
