Police: Suspect arrested in $50,000 diamond theft case

TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of a $50,000 diamond from a mall.

WCVB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2nhrYL9 ) that the diamond was stolen from Hannoush Jewelers at the Silver City Galleria mall in Taunton on Monday. Police say they have arrested a man in connection with the robbery.

Authorities have not released the suspect’s name.

Investigators say the diamond has not been recovered.
