FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Prosecutors say a fatal shooting at a Flagstaff recreation center was the result of a drug deal gone wrong.
The Arizona Daily Sun reports (https://bit.ly/2nP31En ) that court records filed by the Coconino County Attorney’s Office refer to eyewitness testimony about the March 3 incident.
Prosecutors say the fifteen-year-old boy shot and killed 20-year-old Jacob M. Allen after meeting him at the Hal Jensen Recreation Center for a marijuana sale. According to the documents, the teenager attempted to rob Allen and pulled a gun on him before the pair exchanged gunfire.
The suspect is currently being held at the Coconino County Detention Facility. The gun and marijuana have not been found.
The teenager’s preliminary hearing was set for March 15 but has been postponed. A new date has not been set.
