SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A Bexar (BAYR) County commissioner has been placed on a year’s probation after declining to contest conviction of a misdemeanor driving-while-intoxicated count.
Precinct 3 Commissioner Kevin Wolff pleaded no contest Wednesday to the charge leveled against him last summer. That’s when Wolff, clad only in a T-shirt and boxer shorts, rear-ended two cars in the parking lot of a Whataburger restaurant. The incident happened at 3 a.m. July 31, he said, after he had taken medication and alcohol.
Wolff also must install in his car and use a breath analysis device for six months before driving. If he fails to live up to the terms of his probation, Wolff could be sentenced to six months in jail.
Precinct 3 includes northern portions of Bexar County.
