DOVER, N.H. (AP) - A Rochester, New Hampshire man is headed to prison for selling a fatal dose of fentanyl to a Maine man last summer.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/2mXhyNp ) that 27-year-old Ryan Kirk was sentenced to 8 to 16 years behind bars after pleading guilty Monday in Dover to a charge of a sale of a controlled drug with death resulting in connection with the June death of Adam Rainaud.

Court documents allege Kirk sold drugs to the Berwick, Maine victim at a Rochester apartment where Kirk was living. Rainaud was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Toxicology reports indicated the 29-year-old Rainaud died from an acute fentanyl overdose.
