BANGOR, Maine (AP) - Some charges could be dismissed against a Maine mom who was rescued along with her two young children after driving into a pond.

WABI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2nQLIGs ) that 38-year-old Mandi Parker of Jonesboro pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated assault, reckless conduct and driving to endanger.

A fisherman is credited with saving the three, including her 2-month-old and a 3-year-old, after her car plunged into Fox Pond last April. State police say she’d been drinking and was returning from a methadone clinic.

The Hancock County District Attorney gave Parker a two-year deferred disposition.

WABI reports that arrangement allows for the most serious charges to go away if she stays out of trouble but she’ll have to go to jail for a few days, pay a fine and forfeit her license for three years.
