ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A Rochester man convicted of raping three women over four years has been sentenced to 50 years to life in prison.

Twenty-two-year-old Derrick Macon appeared Friday in Monroe County Court in Rochester, where he was convicted of predatory sexual assault, rape and strangulation.

Prosecutors say that between 2012 and 2016, Macon stalked women as they walked along Rochester streets, strangled them until they were unconscious and sexually assaulted them.

Investigators used DNA to link the cases.
