SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Orange County say a 15-year-old boy died at a hospital a day after being shot multiple times while walking in Santa Ana.

Police Corporal Anthony Bertagna says Saturday night’s shooting may have been a drive-by, and is being investigated as possibly gang-related.

Officers discovered several shell casings along the street where the teen was found badly wounded.

The Orange County Register says (https://bit.ly/2mHOUnv) the boy died Sunday.

Bertagna says the boy was a member of a tagging crew but was not known to be a gang member.

Investigators say they’re searching for a dark-colored vehicle seen in the area at the time of the shooting.
