MORRISTOWN, Ariz. (AP) - The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says no deputies were injured in a shooting that left a home-invasion suspect wounded with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Sheriff’s spokesman Mark Casey says the suspect fired first and that the Monday morning incident began with a home invasion in Buckeye.

Casey says the suspect stole a vehicle and led deputies on a chase.

It ended in a road off U.S. 60 in Morristown, which is about 45 miles northwest of Phoenix and about 10 miles southeast of Wickenburg.
