AURORA, Colo. (AP) - A jury has convicted a man for his role in a fatal shooting outside an Aurora bar.
The Aurora Sentinel reports (https://goo.gl/ez9jiN ) 23-year-old Daeshaun Howard was convicted Monday of first-degree murder in the April 13, 2013, death of 22-year-old Christopher Bryant. Howard faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.
He and two others were charged after Bryant was killed and another man was shot in front of Primo’s Bar. Prosecutors say at least two of the three men opened fire because they were angry that a woman they went to the bar with was dancing with several men, including Bryant.
One of Howard’s co-defendants, 25-year-old Christopher Williams, was sentenced to life without parole. The third suspect, who was a juvenile at the time, is serving a 21-year sentence in a youth offender program.
