TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County Sheriff’s officials say they’ve arrested a third person in the recent death of a 6-month-old girl.
They say the roommate of the baby’s parents, 22-year-old Kaylie Gossett, faces one count of child abuse. She was arrested on Wednesday.
Authorities have also arrested the baby’s parents, 19-year-old Kylie Brewer and 19-year-old Jon-Paul Bogdanowich, on one count each of child abuse.
Sheriff’s deputies went to the couple’s home on Feb. 19 after receiving reports about a child not breathing.
The baby was taken to Banner-University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Doctors told investigators that the child’s injuries included a bruise on her head, blood in her nose and mouth and a possibly fractured bone in her arm.
