MANCHESTER, England (AP) - Manchester United says attacking midfielder Juan Mata has undergone groin surgery.
United did not give a potential timescale for Mata’s return.
The Spain international joins an injury list at United that includes Paul Pogba, Chris Smalling, and Phil Jones.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera will miss the English Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday because of suspensions.
