CLINTON, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say they’ve captured two men who escaped from the Jackson County Jail last week.
Clinton police say 20-year-old Brian Willey and 19-year-old Andrew Combs were captured after a short foot chase early Monday.
A pickup truck they’re suspected of stealing was found Wednesday in Clinton, about 30 miles southeast of Maquoketa (muh-KOH’-keh-tuh), where the men pried open a gate and escaped Tuesday from the jail.
Court records say Willey has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial on a burglary charge. The records say Combs has pleaded not guilty to burglary and robbery counts and is also awaiting trial.
