CHESNEE, S.C. (AP) - A Spartanburg County woman has been arrested after a man was found shot to death in some woods behind his home near Chesnee.

Local media outlets reported that 32-year-old Amy Nicole Taylor of Chesnee was arrested Saturday night and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the victim was 57-year-old James Earl Sprouse. A sheriff’s report says Sprouse was Taylor’s boyfriend.

Deputies were called to the home to check on Sprouse and found his body behind the home. He had been shot several times.

Taylor is being held in the Spartanburg County jail. It was not known if she has an attorney yet.
