DOVER, Del. (AP) - A Philadelphia man is facing life in prison after being convicted on two counts of first-degree murder in a home invasion in Millsboro.

A Sussex County jury on Wednesday convicted 20-year-old Rhamir Waples on charges of murder, robbery, home invasion, possession of a firearm during a felony, and conspiracy.

Waples was one of several people charged in 2015 following an investigation into organized crime activity in Kent and Sussex counties.

Authorities said members of the network committed crimes including racketeering, murder, home invasion robbery, illegal weapons possession and drug dealing. Investigators said the victims targeted by the organization were believed to be involved themselves in the distribution of illegal narcotics.

Waples and others were accused of killing 27-year-old William Hopkins and 29-year-old Cletis Nelson during a 2014 home invasion.
