RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police have arrested two suspects accused of smashing windows to burglarize a series of businesses at a strip mall on the northwest side of town.
Police said Thursday five counts of commercial burglary charges have been filed against 22-year-old Jacob Heathcote and 26-year-old Douglas Heathcote.
Detectives say they broke into The Blind Onion Pizza & Pub at Viewcrest Shopping Center on Kings Row three different times in January and February. They also allegedly burglarized a neighboring coffee shop and a bar.
Investigators say video surveillance caught them stealing cash drawers, electronics and multiple bar and restaurant supplies.
Police arrested them Wednesday after serving a search warrant at a nearby residence where officers say they recovered items taken in the burglaries and clothes the suspects allegedly were wearing during the break-ins.
