RINGWOOD, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a New Jersey man has been charged with firing a shotgun through his former girlfriend’s front door, killing her.
Prosecutors in Passaic County said that 38-year-old Clinton Degroat was charged on Thursday with killing 38-year-old Nicole Sierra at her home in Ringwood.
Investigators say Degroat came to her home late Wednesday and got into an altercation with another man. He left and returned with a shotgun and prosecutors say he fired through the glass door.
It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney to comment on his behalf.
