RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A shooting in Virginia has left one child dead.
Local news reports a 5-year-old boy was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in Henrico County outside Richmond.
Henrico police say the boy was found after the shooting was reported around 1 p.m. They say he died after being transported to a Richmond hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation is ongoing but they are not actively searching for suspects. No arrests had been made and the victim’s name was not given.
