AIKEN, S.C. (AP) - Authorities in South Carolina say they’re searching for a missing pregnant teenager.
News outlets report Aiken Department of Public Safety said in a news release that 13-year-old Irma Orozco-Razo was reported missing Thursday after getting off at the bus stop for her middle school but never going inside. She is five-and-a-half months pregnant.
The report states she had been staying at Helping Hands, an agency that assists abused, abandoned or neglected children. Agency employees say Orozco-Razo told other students on the bus she was meeting her boyfriend and going to Mexico.
Investigators believe she may be with the boyfriend, 18-year-old Jose Armando Alcazar Augustin, who also is the father of the baby. Aiken Public Safety officers have two warrants for his arrest.
