RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police say one of two men found shot after an apparent drug deal-turned-robbery has died from his injuries.
Police say 19-year-old Corey Montrell Saunders died Sunday evening from his injuries in Wednesday’s shooting.
Police say they believe Saunders and another person tried to rob a man who agreed to sell them marijuana.
The man exchanged fire with Saunders and the other person, leaving Saunders with gunshot wounds at an apartment complex.
The man who was selling the drugs was also shot in the torso. He drove himself to a nearby Famous Dave’s restaurant and called for help.
Police say that man is still being treated for his injuries and his name has not been released.
Officers are searching for the third person involved in robbery.
