LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police shot and killed two dogs who were attacking a man near Los Angeles’ Skid Row.

The Los Angeles Police Department says the victim was walking his dog Wednesday morning when he was attacked by the loose dogs.

When police officers arrived, they saw the dogs attacking the man and fired their weapons. The two pit bulls were killed.

Police say the victim’s dog died from the pit bull attack. They say the victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for bite wounds.
