HOUSTON (AP) - Authorities in Florida say they have a man in custody sought in the slayings of two people shot outside a Houston apartment complex.

A Harris County Sheriff’s Office statement says 35-year-old Kenneth E. Jones was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, without incident.

The sheriff’s statement says Jones fled the Houston area after a capital murder warrant for him was issued.

Investigators say a dispute between two groups climaxed on April 26 when Kenneth Jones and brother Harvey Jones arrived at the Haverstock Hills apartments. Investigators say Kenneth Jones pulled a rifle from his vehicle and opened fire, killing two men and wounding six other people.
