MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a Washington state man was arrested for possession of 13 pounds of marijuana following a routine traffic stop in western North Dakota.
The Morton County Sheriff’s Department says 38-year-old Josh William Carter of Tacoma, Washington, was pulled over speeding early Wednesday morning on Interstate 94. A deputy found 21 heat-sealed plastic bags of pot worth about $33,000.
Carter was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He has not been asked to enter a plea.
Court documents do not list an attorney for Carter.
