PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say two male high school students in Philadelphia have been charged with forcing a 14-year-old girl into a school bathroom, where one of them tried to sexually assault her.

Police say the 18-year-old and 17-year-old were charged Thursday over the attack a day earlier at Frankford High School.

They say the 18-year-old dragged the girl into a bathroom Wednesday morning, and the 17-year old stood guard while the older boy tried to rape the girl.

They say a teacher heard her screams and opened the door. Both male students were taken into custody.

The 18-year-old is facing charges including attempted rape and simple assault. The 17-year-old is charged as a juvenile with conspiracy to commit rape and related counts.

Their names have not been released.
