STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Funeral arrangements have been set for Mississippi State University track and field athlete Kaelin Kersh, who was killed in a weekend traffic accident.

The fatal crash happened Sunday morning in Starkville. Kersh, who had graduated last Friday, was in the back seat of a Toyota Corolla when it was hit by a Mississippi Highway Patrol SUV.

The driver of the car and another passenger were hospitalized with injuries. The trooper was also hurt.

The highway patrol’s investigation is continuing.

The Clarion-Ledger reports (https://on.thec-l.com/2q9rm9E ) visitation for Kersh will be at Dean’s Funeral Home in Brandon on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pearl High School.
