BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Department of Health is monitoring the cleanup of a tank leak that spilled more than 25,000 gallons of crude oil in McKenzie County.

The department said Thursday it was notified of the spill that happened at a transmission pipeline distribution point operated by Crestwood Midstream. The spill was discovered April 28 about 11 miles southeast of Keene and was reported to the National Response Center and the North Dakota Industrial Commission.

Officials say the spilled oil was released from the primary tank and contained within the secondary containment.
