LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - A 17-year-old girl is facing charges in connection with the shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Massachusetts.

Police say the boy suffered a graze wound to the head at a home in Lowell on Tuesday. Police have not said who fired the weapon. The boy is being treated at a Boston hospital.

The 17-year-old was charged Wednesday with possessing a gun and ammunition without a license, trafficking heroin and two other drug possession charges.



Police and prosecutors are continuing their investigation.
