MACON, Ga. (AP) - The body of a woman has been found at an apartment in Macon.

The Macon Telegraph reports (https://bit.ly/2qVUGDp) that 63-year-old Vivian Puente-Napoles was found Tuesday with a wound to her neck. Bibb County Coroner Lonnie Miley has ruled her death a homicide.

Miley says Puente-Napoles had been dead at least a day when she was found by staff at First Neighborhood apartments. There were no signs of forced entry.

The apartments are owned by River Edge Behavioral Health Center. The chief of facilities for River Edge, Cass Hatcher, says the complex offers housing for people who were once homeless.

Hatcher says employees and investigators are reviewing surveillance footage.
