TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Tucson have identified a body found in Vail as a teenage girl who went missing from her home on Wednesday night.

Tucson police say the body of 13-year-old Jayden Glomb was found Thursday afternoon between Cienega High School and Empire High School in Vail.

They say the girl was identified Friday and the case is being investigating as a suspicious death.

Police say an autopsy has been done and the cause of the girl’s death is pending.

Glomb reportedly went missing from her Vail home around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say a worker at the housing development was driving out of the area late Thursday morning when he saw what he believed to be a female body in the desert area near the roadway and called 911.
