PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a body has been recovered from the Willamette River near the Steel Bridge in Portland.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies responded a report of a body floating in the river Friday evening.

The sheriff’s office says a man’s body was recovered.

The sheriff’s office is investigating and the body will be turned over to the county medical examiner’s office.

No further details were immediately available.
