STOCKTON, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a man has drowned while swimming in Stockton Lake.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as 20-year-old Nathan Buckhanan, of Springfield. He began struggling Sunday night after leaving a designated swim area. The patrol says he went under as he was attempting to swim to a buoy.
