VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Officials say a public information meeting will be held about the 94,000 gallons of jet fuel that recently spilled at an air station in Virginia Beach.

Local news outlets report a meeting open to the public is scheduled for Monday evening to address questions and concerns about the fuel-leak discovered Thursday morning from a tank at Naval Air Station Oceana.

The U.S. Navy says a team of federal, state and local officials will hold the information session at a church in Virginia Beach.

A statement from the Navy says crews worked through Saturday night to continue cleanup of fuel that spread onto nearby properties and waterways in an effort to open affected roadways before Monday-morning commutes.

Authorities say experts were working to locate and help affected wildlife in the area.
