SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) - A school security worker in Washington D.C.’s suburbs is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a 14-year-old student.

Media outlets report that 21-year-old Mike Anthony Lievano, who worked at Col. E. Brooke Lee Middle School, was arrested Sunday night on several charges, including sexual abuse of a minor.

Montgomery County police say the eighth-grade student told them that she initiated contact with Lievano at school, and that she and Lievano began communicating by text message and started a personal relationship in March. The two allegedly “engaged in inappropriate sexual contact” at Lievano’s home and the student’s home.

School officials have placed Lievano on administrative leave. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
