PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - Attorneys for a man accused of killing four members of a family in Petersburg are seeking to have his trial moved.

The Richmond Times Dispatch reports that (https://bit.ly/2riDjZX ) attorneys for Alexander D. Hill Jr. have asked the court to move his capital murder trial out of Petersburg because of “intense and prejudicial” news coverage they say will make it difficult for him to get a fair trial. Hill’s trial is scheduled to begin in September.

Hill is charged with killing four generations of the same family in their Petersburg home in 2014. Two of the victims were stabbed to death and the other two died due to the fire that police say Hill set.

Hill’s attorneys are also seeking to suppress evidence found in Hill’s home.
