BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Police say a northwest Alabama woman has died after a drive-by shooting.

AL.com reports (https://bit.ly/2quU6vh ) Birmingham police say Gadsden resident 21-year-old Te’kia Turner was killed during a shooting early Thursday morning.

Sgt. Danny Woodard said Turner was sitting in the back of a Ford Taurus driven by a friend when at least one bullet pierced a rear window and struck her in the head. Woodard says the car was stopped in front of a home when another car approached and someone inside fired six to eight gunshots.



Turner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say no suspects are in custody. No descriptions of suspects have been released.
