BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - More than 3,000 graduates will be receiving degrees from the University of Vermont this weekend.

The school is holding its 216th commencement exercises on Saturday and Sunday.

The main ceremony takes place Sunday, in which more than 2,600 bachelor degrees will be awarded.

Journalist and author James Fallows, a national correspondent for The Atlantic for more than 35 years, will deliver the commencement address.

The College of Medicine commencement also takes place Sunday, while the graduate college ceremony happens on Saturday.
