CONYERS, Ga. (AP) - A pedestrian who attempted to cross Interstate 20 in Rockdale County died after being struck by cars twice.

The Georgia State Patrol tells WSB-TV (https://2wsb.tv/2r6fM2u ) that the person was first hit by a westbound Toyota Camry. The driver of that car pulled over to try to help the victim when a Nissan Altima hit the person a second time.

The accident happened early Sunday morning. The victim’s identity wasn’t immediately released.
