FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The custodial crew maintaining an interstate rest area in Clark County has won bragging rights across Kentucky.

The state Transportation Cabinet says the eastbound rest area along Interstate 64 in Clark County has been recognized as the “best-maintained” rest area in the state.

The cabinet says it’s the third such award for the Clark County rest area.

State officials presented certificates to the employees of Community Services Project Inc., which provides custodial upkeep for the facility.

The Clark County eastbound rest area has been serving Kentucky interstate motorists for more than a half century, providing access to food, water, picnic and pet walk areas.
