EAST ORANGE, N.J. (AP) - Police say they found 1,470 marijuana plants in a four-car garage in New Jersey.

East Orange police say the pot has an estimated street value of $2.95 million.

Officials announced during a news conference on Monday that they charged 37-year-old Sherline Dare with distribution, maintaining and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. A telephone message seeking her comment was not immediately returned.

Authorities also are searching for her husband, 41-year-old Densley Lawrence.
