SEARCY, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a man suspected in a fatal shooting in Searcy has turned himself in to police.

Searcy police said 41-year-old Shelby Taylor of Pangburn turned himself in Sunday night. Police say Taylor is being held without bond on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 38-year-old Brian Pool.

Police had initially described Taylor as a person of interest in the case, but they haven’t said what may have prompted the shooting. Pool was found dead Saturday afternoon.

It was not clear whether Taylor had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
