GREENBURG, Pa. (AP) - Officials in Westmoreland County say a man working to replace a storm drainage system died when a trench collapsed.

It happened late Monday afternoon in Rostraver Township.

Authorities say 60-year-old Vaughn Kopetsky of Derry Township and co-workers were replacing the storm drain when a wall of the trench collapsed, trapping Kopetsky in the dirt.

His co-workers dug him out, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
