WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A special prosecutor has decided not to file charges against a long-time West Fargo police lieutenant accused of giving some confidential information to a relative.

Lt. Greg Warren was placed on administrative leave earlier this month while authorities investigated the matter. KFGO (https://bit.ly/2qP3SZk ) reports an assistant state’s attorney in Barnes County reviewed the investigation by a state crime bureau agent and decided against any charges, clearing Warren to return to work.

The lieutenant is a 42-year veteran of the department who heads the investigations division. Warren was accused of providing some information about a vehicle to his brother, an insurance investigator.
