PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) - A 6-year-old boy appears to have drowned in an apartment complex pool in Florida.
Local news outlets report that Guyverson Perrie-Charles was pulled from the pool at Peacock Run Apartments in Port St. Lucie Wednesday afternoon. He was taken a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A police news release says several children were playing in the pool when Perrie-Charles’s 14-year-old brother noticed the younger boy not moving in the deep end. Adults performed CPR on the boy until police and fire rescue crews arrived.
